trending NFT news

CryptoPunks was among the first businesses on Ethereum to use non-fungible tokens. They were officially launched by Larva Labs and feature a range of 10,000 distinct collectible tokens. This collection was created in collaboration with two Canadian programmers. The figures inside this NFT project resemble pixelated punks that may be purchased, sold, or auctioned on. The collection covers punks, the most prevalent subgenre. The collection also includes 88 zombie punks, 24 ape punks, and 9 alien punks. These punks have a unique backdrop colour that informs customers about the digital asset’s condition. A red backdrop indicates that the character is for sale, while a purple background indicates that bids for the character are currently open. However, the punk is not for sale if has a blue background. The most pricey CryptoPunk item sold was a US7.58 million alien avatar. Jay-Z and Snoop Dogg of the United States of America, and also tennis star Serena Williams, are among the well-known CryptoPunk NFT holders.

Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC)

It is one of the most well-known NFT collections in the recent era. Among the notable investors in BAYC are talk show presenter Jimmy Fallon, singer Future, DJ Khaled, and YouTuber Logan Paul. Eminem, the American rapper, is the latest star to follow the crowd, as he currently owns a piece of digital artwork that resembles him. Additionally, it is used as his Twitter profile image. BAYC, developed by Yuga Labs, offers animated apes with a variety of unique qualities and rarities that obstruct the Ethereum blockchain. The NFT project currently houses a catalogue of 10,000 distinct Bored Apes. Since their launch in April 2021, their prices have risen, leaving this series one of the fastest-appreciating in the business. Owners of these NFTs receive a Yacht Club membership card that comes with a slew of benefits, including invites to private digital performances. The highest price paid for a BAYC NFT is 769 ETH, or US$2.3 million.

Mutant Ape Yacht Club (MAYC)

The Mutant Ape Yacht Club (MAYC) is a one-of-a-kind group of apes established independently by the creators of the BAYC.  MAYC was made available in August 2021. The collection had 10,000 Mutant Apes, which were quickly sold at USD 96 million. However, this is not the end of the mutation. BAYC developers established a novel method that benefited not just owners of the previous Bored Ape NFTs, but also increased the threshold for the Mutant Apes’ appeal. They introduced a novel NFT called “Serum.” Holders of Bored Ape cards can add “Serum” to their ‘apes,’ converting them into Mutant Apes. Three varieties of serum are available, including mega mutant serum.
